It is unlikely that in the modern world there is an anti-addiction to social networks — an obsession with communication in real life. How can you be addicted to social communication — one of the basic human needs?

Grisha (18) is a roofer. He moonlights as a guide to the roofs of Moscow. He knows all the nooks and crannies of the city. The police have already caught him several times. Grisha and his friends made their way to a closed roof, where the Moscow International Business Center can be seen in the distance.

I like to observe my friends: their different characters and behavior, their reactions to the circumstances, their growing up and changes in their appearance. I want to capture them in that moment, because I know that soon their experience of life, whether they like it or not, will make them change. Their manner of communication, hobbies, favorite taste of ice cream will change. But sometimes you just want them to stay the same, so that they continue to paint graffiti and love rice puddings. Unfortunately, it is possible to stay the same only on old VHS videos, saved photos on social media and old posts from Tumblr with quotes about the difficult teenage life.

This summer turned out to be cold. But everyone still wanted to swim in the river, so Polina (13) put on her sweater and swam in it.

Liza (18) and Fabian (18) at their secret place. The road under this bridge is blocked because it is too close to the highway, therefore, to get to this bridge, you need to crawl under the fence and avoid the police.

Yulia (19), Danya (19) and Sasha (19) threw a small party by the river bank. They played cards, swam, tried to light a fire, and drank the cheapest wine from a nearby supermarket. After that we dragged Danya home, because he drank too much. We did not want to wake up our neighbors, so we called a taxi for the boys, which arrived after 1 hour.

I am afraid of losing my friends, I am afraid that changes in their interests will be followed by a change in their circle of friends. Therefore, I try to spend with them as much of my time as possible, photograph them as often as possible, what if these photos remain the only thing that will connect us? Behind each portrait there is a whole story that only participants in those events can tell. I hope that due to the photographs I’ve made we will remember it, and even if our paths diverge, we will not forget anything. I want to be the storyteller of these stories, to show these stories through my eyes, which, perhaps, is the negative side of my social addiction — the loss of myself, my own life behind the old photographs and stories of other people.

Liza (18) spontaneously bought plane tickets to Russia without telling her parents. Due to road works, we did not make our flight. Despite this she flew away a week later.

Polina (12) ran away from home for the first time after a quarrel with her parents. Hiding behind a grocery store on the next street. Her adventures did not last long, soon her parents found her and took her home.
